British jazz saxophonist Andy Sheppard is considered a leading international jazz artist. Winning several British Jazz Awards, and working alongside notable contemporary jazz artists such as Gill Evans, Carla Bley, George Russell, and Steve Swallow, Andy Sheppard has released over 80 recordings with at least 17 of these as leader.

Andy Sheppard’s latest collaboration ‘Life Goes On’: Life Goes On’ with Carla Bley (composer and pianist) and Steve Swallow (bass) is the fourth album that the trio have released in their 25 years together as a trio.

The music, composed by Carla Bley following her recovery from an illness, is a highly sophisticated trio of suites ‘Life Goes On, Beautiful Telephones, and Copycat. Beautiful, catchy melodies effortlessly composed by Bley featuring a touch of irony reminiscent of French composer Erik Satie.
