Tribute to Justin Wu Consort News January 3, 2015 Fashion, Featured News, Film and TV, The Arts Justin Wu is a writer, director and photographer based in Paris, London and New York. He was scouted early on and started as an art & fashion photographer, then later as a director. Justin’s work varies greatly from tv commercials, music videos, gallery art installations, and international fashion editorials. Currently, he is considered a digital influencer, focusing on cinema. Video Produced and Directed by Justin (and personal favorite): On the side, he guest lectures the Masters Photography Program at the prestigious School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York. Works by Justin: His first experimental film, Coup de grâce, was exhibited and screened at the modern art museum, Centre Pompidou, in Paris last fall. Following that, his first narrative short, Le devoir, won the 2014 Grand Prize for Best Emerging Director at an Academy Award (R) qualifying film festival this summer. Justin’s work is always a current topic in the press & blogosphere and best known for his uplifting videos and commercials; most notably, his music video for Jay-Z’s Life+Times ‘Empire State of Mind’.
