MJ: Where are you from and how was it growing up there?

Maurice: I’m Originally from ST. Thomas U.S Virgin Islands and I had a great childhood. I didn’t have anything else to compare it to but I would say that while most kids grew up glued to the TV or video games I mostly enjoyed the outdoors. We climbed Mango Trees and went to the Beach constantly so nature was a big part of my childhood experience.

MJ: What do you like least/most about the Entertainment Industry?

Maurice: The Uncertainty and Possibility, meaning the uncertainty that this Dream that you’re chasing may never come true and the Possibility that at any moment your Dream may become a Reality.

MJ: If you were to open up for an artist who would it be and why?

Maurice: I would open up for Rihanna because our sound is very similar.

MJ: How do you respond to the backup plan question?

Maurice: Well my backup plan still derives from my ultimate goal which is to make music. I’m also a songwriter so if just being a song-writer is what Gods ultimate plan is for me I will accept it gracefully.

MJ: If you were to choose one word, which emotion more than any other drives you to stay in this tough business?

Maurice: PASSION.

MJ: Why did you name your EP “Ricochet”?

Maurice: Ricochet is a song that’s on the actual EP and I felt that it describes my journey through LIFE. If you really focus in on the words you may also be able to relate to this message.
