Casablanca Pictures and A Large Book Company are in beginning talks to license and publish a series of novelizations of Movieopolis episodes.

Vincent LoBrutto, (Best-Selling Author of “Stanley Kubrick: A Biography” and “Martin Scorsese: A Biography) and Heather Ferreira (Director) imaginative television series is about the young Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola.

Starring Bear Manescalchi as Martin Scorsese and Jack Lamb as Francis Ford Coppola.

The series started on a vimeo channel, before cult fans brought it to the attention of TV Network channels.

“This is ground-breaking stuff. Not only is (Movieopolis) about two famous film directors and the fact when they were young they could have been good detectives but it is about the inner Francis, the inner Marty. I want to see this series to watch how these guys get their careers as film directors together, how they solve cases and how they get from point A to point B as people….”

“In this age of digital filmmaking, with younger directors than ever before, it’s important young people see that their inspirations – men like Coppola, Scorsese, encountered just as many difficulties, had it just as tough, as we do in Hollywood now. Movieopolis not only educates the next generation about these famous directors, but humanizes them. They see that both of these legendary directors began here as mere mortals – and that no matter what your young mistakes are, making great films is still possible.”

“Martin Scorsese’s one of the greatest directors of all time. I’ve learned where he’s coming from and what makes him tick. I don’t want to imitate him, per se, on this series. My goal is to Become.”
