Since his childhood, he always dreamt of evading to a world of fantasy. He started sketching dresses at the age of ten, quoted as saying “I don’t recall a day in my life without a pen in my hand!”. Shortly after high school, Murad moved from Beirut to Paris where he obtained his degree in fashion. In 1999, Murad made his first appearance on the catwalks of Rome with an acclaimed collection that led to his participation in the Italian calendar. In 1995, Murad opened his third head shop in Beirut. His extensive lines encompass haute couture, ready-to-wear, accessories and eye-wear. Two boutiques (including showrooms) have been opened: the first in Beirut on Charles Helou Avenue and the second on rue Francois I in Paris He also has a showroom in Milan on the Via Borgogna. Zuhair Murad collections blend the ancient heritage with a modern twist, a signature to which the House is very loyal, with a mission for a continuous quest for craftsmanship, glamour and reverie. Perfection is also what Zuhair Murad strives to implement during all the phases of his creations: from the concept to the conception then the completion. Each garment is the result of a long and rigorous artisanal savoir-faire that creates the ultimate experience in elegance. There exists a luxury of exclusivity because all that hand-made embroidery, not to mention the fabrics, the patterns and the colours, are all specially thought through and designed: the special prerogative of pure inspiration, the inspiration of Zuhair Murad, resolutely, uniquely, singular. His vision of elegance rooted in the here and now, the forever, and the incomparable.
