Carnaby Films at Cannes 2016 Consort News June 1, 2016 Actors, Actors, Actress, Events, Featured News, Film and TV Carnaby International Yacht Party London based Carnaby International and it’s band of merry executives once again made quite the impressive showing in Cannes this year with what almost seemed like a word of mouth campaign for Kids in Love, Sticky Notes, and of course Blood Orange. “Have you seen the Iggy pop movie (Blood Orange)” Almost became a catch phrase amongst the festivals cinephiles. Without much in the way of prints and advertising they managed to imprint this year’s slate into the collective minds of pretty much everyone with or without a badge this year. This is, after all, Carnaby’s umpteenth year in the festival, it seems they know what they’re doing at this point. As dramas slowly become a smaller and smaller, Carnaby continues to bring us films like ‘Interlude in Prague’. Kids In Love Poster Among the heavy hitters attending the festival for Carnaby were Co-CEO’s Andy Loveday and Sean O’Kelly as well as Director of International Sales Tania Sarra, senior manager of sales and acquisitions Lorianne Hall, and sales coordinator Severah Akhtar. Sticky Notes Poster Perhaps the highlight and culmination of Carnaby’s Cannes this year was their annual gala aboard the stunning yacht they were headquartered in, which took place near the Plage de Palm. Investors, producer, executives, directors, and barbecue extraordinaires. People mingled and gathered in what was, for most, the culmination of a very successful and exciting year in Cannes. The crowd, dressed in everything from evening wear, to T-shirts and jeans were quite the microcosm of the festival, and provided a wonderful glimpse into the atmosphere of the 69th Cannes: No matter who you are, we’re all here to share our love for cinema.
