On March the 1st 2018, GRAMMY® Award-winning singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Meghan Trainor returned with her brand new single ‘No Excuses’, available worldwide now.  You can get it at http://smarturl.it/NoExcusesMT via Epic Records.

It’s the first glimpse of what may be in store from her 3rd full-length album and one of the year’s most anticipated blockbuster releases – coming soon.

Trainor wrote ‘No Excuses’ with songwriter JKash and Andrew Wells.  The song was produced by Andrew Wells with additional production by Trainor herself.

The single moves between swaggering bass lines, bright guitars and widescreen synths with an infectious call and response theme. The upbeat production underscores a deeper message encoded in the hook – “Your mama raised you better than that”.

Commenting on the single Trainor explains, “I love how so many women are standing up for what’s right, I wanted to write us all a powerful anthem. Sometimes, people talk down to me, because I’ve only been doing this for four years. So I wrote this song.  It’s my modern version of ‘R-E-S-P-E-C-T’. Its all about equality and being kind”.

Complementing this upbeat and undeniable anthem, she also shared the single’s official music video shot by Colin Tilley.  The high energy visual brings the words to life as Trainor owns the screen more confident and charismatic than ever.

After undergoing second vocal cord surgery requiring Trainor to spend 4 months without speaking and causing her to suffer with debilitating anxiety, she  emerges with fire and a sharp focus that she throws into her work. She has empowered herself through self love and care and that energy bursts clearly into her new album.

Recorded primarily with producer Wells, it would be a family affair. On every anthem, she enlisted a choir comprising of her mum, dad, brothers and fiancé to add backing vocals. Its undoubtledly her biggest, brightest and best body of work to date.

Meghan Trainor emerged with her 2014 breakout single ‘All About That Bass’ and disrupted contemporary music with nostalgic pop beats and powerhouse vocals that delivered a worldwide anthem for women everywhere by acknowledging all that is feminine and the strength that comes with it.

She then followed it up with 7 multi-platinum singles, releasing 2 platinum albums, selling out three headline tours, writing multi-platinum hits for top pop and country artists and receiving countless industry awards and nominations worldwide. She is one of only 5 female artists to receive a diamond certification for her his single ‘All About That Bass’.

Earlier this year Meghan wrapped up her first season as a panellist on FOX’s hit singing competition series THE FOUR: Battle for Stardom.
