Zuhair Murad will be attending the Cannes Film Festival this year as the festiva marks its 70th edition and Zuhair Murad marks 20 years of beautiful creations. Going back to how it all started, Zuhair always dreamed of a fantasy world and at only 10 years of age, he started sketching dresses. He held on to his dream and in 1997 opened his first atelier that had a selective and exclusive clientele which was constantly growing. His first couture collection came soon after, in 2001, at Paris Couture fashion week and it amazed the International press. In 2005 the first Ready-to-Wear collection followed and from thereon the brand kept growing. Zuhair’s last couture collection is inspired by the designer’s trip to Japan and it showcases beautiful Swarowski crystals embedded gracefully on carefully chosen fabrics. It is called Fires Waltz and its main inspiration was the witnessing of breath taking fireworks on the Miyajima island.
